It Started With a Missing Voice.

The Bowline Group was founded in late 2019 with a simple idea: the right relationships, combined with the right strategy, can change the direction of an issue.

Then 2020 changed the conversation around policing and public safety. Major decisions were being made in government, politics and the public arena without enough input from the people actually doing the job.

TBG became increasingly involved with law enforcement organizations and leaders, helping ensure their experience and perspective were part of those conversations. That work became an important part of the firm’s foundation and helped shape the way TBG approaches complex issues today.

As TBG’s work grew, so did its network.

Relationships built across law enforcement opened doors to broader conversations involving government, politics, business, associations, advocacy organizations and national leaders.
